GENERAL STATEMENTS
The Center for Culture and Civilization Studies Foundation (hereinafter referred as CCCS or Foundation) is a non-membership and non-profit organization that works in the cultural, educational, research, and other fields to promote research in the social sciences, humanities, and natural sciences. It was established and operates in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, the laws of the Republic of Armenia, international treaties of the Republic of Armenia, this Charter and other legal provisions.
The beneficiaries of the foundation are the legal entities and individuals operating in the fields of education, science, culture, and research production.
CCCS GOALS
The goal of the foundation is to promote the development of research in social and humanities and natural sciences via the implementation of activities in cultural, educational, and other fields by making activities for the public benefit.
Objectives of the Foundation
- to promote the improvement of scientific, educational, and cultural fields;
- to conduct strategic research and implement scientific and educational activities;
- to organize scientific seminars, conferences, and workshops;
- to provide legal and physical entities with professional consulting in the fields of activities of the Foundation.
GOVERNING BODIES
The governing bodies of the Foundation are the Board of Trustees of the Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Board of Trustees or the Board) and the Executive Director of the Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the Director).
The Foundation has a Scientific Council, which is an advisory body.
The highest governing and supervising body of the Foundation is the Board of Trustees of the Foundation which consists of 8 members.
DIRECTOR
The current activities of the Foundation are managed by the Director.
All the issues related to the management of ongoing operations are within the competence of the Director, except for the matters relating to the management of the Founders and the Board.
The Director organizes the implementation of the decisions of the Board.
The Director is elected and dismissed by the Board.
The rights and responsibilities of the director are defined by law, this Charter and the signed contract with him. The contract is signed on behalf of the Foundation by the chairman of the Board or another person authorized by the Board.
SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL
The Scientific Council of the Foundation is an advisory body and is formed in accordance with this Charter. It is a collegial body that plans, coordinates and regulates the educational-methodological, scientific-technical, and scientific-research activities of the Foundation.
The Scientific Council is chaired by the Director. The term of office of the Scientific Council is 3 years. The meetings of the Scientific Council are organized by necessity, but not less than twice a year.
The total number of members of the Scientific Council is 9.
