On July 1, during the third annual “Armenian Forum for Democracy” co-organized by Freedom House, CCCS researcher Dr. Narek Sukiasyan spoke on the panel “Democracy vs. Security: Challenging the False Dichotomy.” Dr. Narek Sukiasyan highlighted the security risks posed by the incomplete establishment of democracy in Armenia. He also raised concerns about Armenia’s democratic regression amid deepening internal polarization, emphasizing the negative trends noted in several prestigious international ratings in recent years.
